Dr Janina Czas

My research aims to understand the processes that shape Earth’s mantle by coupling sample-based petrology with geochemical data obtained from diamonds, their inclusions, and mantle rocks. I am particularly interested in characterising fluids and minerals hosted within diamonds, as they often represent the only direct samples of the otherwise inaccessible mantle regions and the deep volatile cycle.
